I'm Elijah. I started The Matador Detail because I got tired of watching people give up half a Saturday sitting in a waiting room for a car that came back half-clean. So I bring the shop to your driveway instead. I do the work myself, I text before I turn up, and I send photos when I'm done — whether you're home or not. If it isn't right when you see it, tell me and I'll come back and put it right.

Text me what you drive and where you are. Members get a standing day each month, so it lands on the calendar once and nobody has to remember to book it again.

Water, power, product, equipment — it all comes on the truck. You leave the car in the driveway and hand over the keys. Nothing to drop off, nothing to arrange.

You don't need to be home. I text before I arrive and send photos when it's done, and you walk out to a car that looks the way it did the day you bought it.

Price depends on vehicle size and condition. Pet hair, heavy soiling and anything hazardous carry a set fee — always quoted up front, never added afterwards.

We detail for Texas Tech student-athletes through the Red Raider NIL Exchange. Most of our week, though, is spent in driveways across southwest Lubbock — school runs, work trucks and the third car nobody has time for.

Do you really come to my house?
Yes — that's the whole idea. I bring water, power, product and equipment with me. You leave the car in the driveway and get on with your day. You don't even need to be home; I text before I arrive and send photos when it's done.
What does a one-time detail cost?
One-time details start at $195. Where yours lands depends on the size of the vehicle and the shape it's in — text me what you drive and I'll give you the number before I touch it. No surprises at the end.
What's the difference between a one-time detail and the membership?
A one-time detail is exactly that — book it, pay it, done, no card kept on file. The membership is 2 visits a month per vehicle from $150, billed monthly to a card on file. Members get a standing day and priority on the schedule.
Is the first wash free?
No — I'd rather be straight about that. Book a one-time detail at the regular rate. If you start a membership within seven days, what you paid today comes straight off your first month — so you are never paying twice to try us.
We have three cars. Does that get cheaper?
It does. The second car on a membership is 15% off and the third and beyond are 25% off. It's the same driveway and the same trip for me, so the saving gets passed on. Teen and college drivers count.
Am I locked into a contract?
No contract. The membership renews monthly on a card on file and you can cancel with a week's notice. If you're travelling you can pause once a term rather than paying for a service you can't use.
Do you take on offices and teams?
Yes. One day a month I come to your business and detail the team's cars on site — from three cars up. It's priced per car and gets cheaper the more cars are on it. Details are in the Matador at Work section above.
What areas do you cover?
I serve Lubbock, Texas and the surrounding South Plains. If you're a little further out, call or text and we'll work out whether it makes sense.
